a free travel toolkit, Las Vegas & a contest!

Hello from Mexico!

We’re getting ready for the solar eclipse!

While we’re not quite in the path of totality, apparently the eclipse in Puerto Vallarta will be a deep partial (with magnitude 95.6%).

Are any of you traveling to Mazatlán or somewhere in the U.S. for the eclipse?! Let me know!

Ok - here’s some things you might find useful in today’s email:

Las Vegas Things!

Spring is the perfect time to head to Vegas…pool season starts, it’s not deathly hot and Formula 1 construction/setup hasn’t started yet.

Contest! Enter to Win $250 for Your Next Hotel Stay

In case you missed it, I’ve teamed up with Plannin Travel to give away $250 to use towards booking your next hotel stay.

It’s a new hotel booking website that works just like Priceline/Booking/Expedia, but with discounts up to 40% off.

How to enter: all you have to do is sign up for a free account and you’re entered to win $250 to use towards your next trip! (contest closes April 15).

I’ll also be updating my Plannin profile every time I stay at a hotel that I loved, so you can easily find my recommendations next time you’re planning a trip!

Other Packing Tips & Travel Hacks…

I’ve recently bought 3 new bags that I’m excited to test out:

  • One hardshell carry-on
  • One soft-sided carry-on
  • One personal item bag (with a shoe compartment)

All 3 seem very promising so far, with some new features I haven’t seen in other bags.

I’ll be reporting back after my trip to Mexico!

In the meantime, here’s some new tips I put together:

Happy weekend! SETTING THE RUMORS STRAIGHT: For the last few weeks, I’ve been getting so many comments on my luggage videos asking about the ‘new carry-on sizing changes in 2025.’ I was so confused about where these were coming from because I’ve heard nothing of the sort. Turns out, there have been a couple videos floating around that went viral (like, over a million views in a week) that stated that US airlines are now all following a new size for carry-on bags and that old luggage may not...
